Belden Energy Solutions is an energy consulting firm based in Chicago that helps businesses and institutions procure electricity supply, natural gas supply, demand response, and other energy efficiency services.

Belden Energy Solutions is led by Jim Belden, an industry veteran with more than 40 years of professional experience. In 1980, Jim started his career as an environmental engineer with oil and natural gas companies in Texas and Illinois. For the past 29 years, he has worked with commercial, industrial, governmental, and institutional clients all over the country to provide solutions for unique electric and natural gas needs.

Jim has extensive experience in the area of utility tariff rate analysis, financial risk management for natural gas and electric supply, retail energy sales and marketing, and energy procurement consulting.

Jim attended Lake Forest College and received a B.S. degree from Northern Arizona University. He has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University. Jim currently resides just outside of Chicago with his wife, Alice, and their rescue dog Sophie.
